Come check it out when you are in the City on one of those days, and enjoy the lack of normal traffic sounds.
Take an air-conditioned bus tour of NYC, but not on a double-decker bus. You will melt in the heat – either sitting on top of the buses or waiting on the street corner for the next bus with an empty seat. There’s a company called OnBoard Tours that will give you a reserved seat all day, and the bus will wait for you at each stop. You can’t beat this New York City tour. If you are visiting New York as a tourist, make sure you don’t make the same mistakes that most New York tourists make.
