Purchased this Sony LED HDTV almost last month to replace the 42″ LCD inside the Man Cave…up to now, so great. I actually purchased the KDL60EX701 model…from a few things i can inform, there are no differences between this model and also the Sony Bravia EX700 Series 60-Inch LED HDTV KDL-60EX700. So, here is my review.

Setup is Easy. I’ve a single HDMI cable coming from the A/V receiver that connects to the rear of the Sony Bravia EX700 Series 60-Inch LED HDTV KDL-60EX700, therefore it doesn’t get any simpler than that. When you start the HDTV for the first time, you will end up prompted to go in some fundamental settings…it’s pretty straightforward in support of has a couple of minutes to accomplish. The menu setup is straightforward to travel through…people who have PS3s & PSPs will see it really easy, since the menu system is identical to the ones entirely on those devices.

Performance is Excellent. Watching anything in HD about this TV is incredible. Everything comes at you in crisp and vivid detail. There are numerous settings it is possible to go through to get the “perfect” picture…fortunately, I did not need to change too many of the default settings to get the picture I needed. I’ve watched few movies a few times already and spotted something totally new I didn’t notice from before! Sports appear great with very little or no blurring, that is always a good thing to get a sports nut like me.

Sound is nice. HDTVs like this aim at home theaters, not stand-alone setups! However, I did play several MP3 files from a USB drive just to hear the audio quality in the built-in speakers, plus it was decent.

My Overall Rating is Excellent. The image quality is equally as good otherwise much better than a lot of the other HDTVs now available. I considered having the 240Hz version with this HDTV, but there is no discernible difference in image quality if you watch sports or action movies
