YouTube is the top place on the web to go to if you want to watch videos. There are millions of them to choose from and there is no excuse to ever get bored. There have been occasions when pirated movies have appeared on YouTube but they do not tend to stay there long. The huge demand for all the latest movie releases is something that the Google owned company has noticed. So a new service allowing people to legally watch the latest releases has just been launched by them. If the current signs are anything to go by, then this will probably be a huge success.
The UK is the first country outside of North America to be given access to this new YouTube rental service. US internet users were first allowed to avail of this rental service back in May last year with Canadian users following suit in the following September. When it comes to renting these movies, you will find that there are thousands to choose from and all ranging in price from £2.49 to £3.49. The level of quality is about the same as a dvd. While you can download the movies that you purchase, you can only watch them for a period of thirty days.
I’ve always said that the appetite for pirated movies will fall if there is a viable legal alternative. Perhaps this latest service by YouTube will encourage more people to choose this option. I’m a bit disappointed to see that we’ve needed to wait so long for this service to be available in the UK. I don’t know why this service is not available worldwide. I am going to watch the performance of this service with interest in the coming months. There is definitely an audience for YouTube to take advantage of but whether they will or not is the big question.
We are fortunate to be able to enjoy such a number of things on account of the advent of the internet. Among the thing s we are now able to do are sending emails, shopping searching for answers and looking out for information – and a whole lot more in addition to. And one of the best things of all time to do though is being able to watch free movies online without downloading.
