The Entourage movie has reportedly been delayed over pay negotiations.
The movie adaptation of the TV show, starring Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier, was due to go ahead earlier this year but has been halted while wage details are ironed out, according to The New York Post‘s Page Six.
It seems some of the stars are hoping to negotiate more money for the film.
A source said: “They wanted to start filming early this summer, but the cast has been on hold. Jeremy finally signed his contract two weeks ago. His deal closed August 29. But there are other members of the cast, including Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara, who are still holding out.”
The popular HBO comedy drama series ran from 2004 until 2011 and earlier this year a film version was given the go ahead.
Several of the original stars are due to reprise their roles from the show about up and coming film star Vincent Chase (Adrian) and his friends.
The plot is thought to focus on the lead characters – Vincent, Ari Gold (Jeremy), Eric ‘E’ Murphy (Kevin Connolly), Turtle (Jerry) and Johnny ‘Drama’ Chase (Kevin Dillon).
The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin.
