A ‘GLAMPING’ village in North Yorkshire has reached the finals of a prestigious competition.
Camp Katur, near Bedale, is a finalist in the Caravan Holiday Park and Holiday Village category of the White Rose Awards.
The eco-friendly camp offers a variety of ‘glamping’ accommodation and hosts weddings, live music events and themed movie nights.
It was set up by 32-year-old Kerry Roy, who left a successful career to launch the business.
She said: “I’m thrilled to have been shortlisted as a finalist. It is not only an affirmation that my decision to leave a secure career and launch my own business was the right one, but is also testament that as a new business owner I’m already making a success of Camp Katur.”
