For fans of the insanely popular Harry Potter franchise, Professor Sprout’s greenhouse with the screaming Mandrakes is something we’re not quick to forget.

This summer Warner Bros. Studio Tour London are opening up the glass doors of the iconic greenhouse for the very first time giving fans the exciting experience of seeing where students were taught Herbology up close and personal.

The greenhouse has been built by the original Harry Potter filmmakers and is home to exotic and magical plants. If you ever found yourself wanting to pull out a screeching Mandrake from a pot, well now you can.

It’s not just Mandrakes that you can find yourself playing with, the Venomous Tentacula hangs from the ceiling which fans will remember from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

The greenhouse is a permanent addition opening up to the public on July 1st as part of the brand new Mandrakes and Magical Creatures feature.

It’s not just the greenhouse though, visitors can look forward to a warm welcome to the Great Hall to the Frog Choir scene of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban alongside Professor Flitwick’s costume worn by Warwick Davis.

The Green House from Harry Potter

Keep your eyes peeled as you make your way around the tour as Dumbledore’s beloved Fawkes, Cornish Pixies and animatronic Monster Book of Monsters can be spotted during your time.

For those who enjoy knowing the processes behind filmmaking, you can learn how Thestrals and Mandrakes were brought to life in the Creatures Workshop.

Not only is there an exciting addition to the tour of Professor Sprout’s greenhouse, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London will also be expanding the exterior sets in their backlot with the fountain from the Hogwarts courtyard and a 1:3 scale-version of the Weasleys’ Burrow.

This is particularly interesting for fans of filmmaking as they can learn the levels of camera magic that took place to capture the family home. During production The Burrow took 14 weeks to build to then come down in flames in just six minutes.

Professor Sprout’s greenhouse, the courtyard fountain and the exterior of the Weasleys’ Burrow will be permanent additions to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.

However the Mandrakes and Magical Creatures feature will only run from 1 st July – 12 th September 2022. You can book tickets here.
