GRIPS are hired in the motion picture and television industry and execute a variety of tasks in the process of film making~The television and film industry makes use of the expertise of GRIPS and they carry out various roles in the movie making operation.}. The Key Grip is needed to accompany the cameraman when scouting locations to analyze the need for Grip equipment. The Key Grip also must be advised ahead on the equipment necessary for the sound stages through coordinating with the cameraman and director as well as browsing through the script. The Second Company Grip is usually responsible for purchasing the equipment and any items or supplies needed to perform the Grip work necessary for production. Grips have a significant part in preparing and planning functions needed to meet production agendas.
