Kurt Russell worked with Terence Stamp on new heist movie The Art of Steal

Kurt Russell has revealed how excited he was to work with Terence Stamp on his latest movie The Art of the Steal.

The Hollywood veteran, who has been in a relationship with Goldie Hawn for thirty years, plays a part-time art thief and motorcycle daredevil in the heist film.

Speaking on the red carpet at the movie’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Kurt said he had realised a dream by working with Star Wars actor Terence.

“With any group or crew of guys who have made theft their life, those guys they can trust are who they run with and there are very few of them. My scenes with Terence Stamp were a great opportunity to work with someone who has done some stuff I’ve always loved. He was just the right guy and I was really thrilled to be able to work with him.

“No matter what business you’re in, trust is really big, but when you’re in the business of theft it’s really big and when it doesn’t work out it’s not good.”

Kurt, who is most famous for his role in sci-fi thriller The Thing, said he looks for the fun in projects.

“When you have the opportunity to spend as much time in movies as I have, you look at things and think what do I want to do? When I read this script I thought if the director puts the right people together it would be great.

“It fits the art-heist movie and I thought it was a great opportunity to have a blast and for people watching it to have a good time.”
