A Must Watch Political Satire Blockbuster Film Love You Loktantra In Cinemas Now

After debuting in theatres nationwide on October 14, the political satire film Love You Loktantra, starring Isha Kopikkar, Ravi Kishen, and Manoj Joshi, has been gaining traction among filmgoers.

The film is a satire on contemporary Indian politics, with a touch of North Indian dialect added by Zurich Media House LLP and Zee Music Co, UFO Digital Cinema, Bright Outdoor Media Private Limited, and TIME Virtual studio. The film depicts a power triangle involving a female Chief Minister, a male lawyer, and another female legal who is close to the administration. Two kidnapped Independent MLAs hold the key to Government formation but are kidnapped overnight. Lawyers and Journalists rule the movie with their strategies and plans to form the government.

Manoj Joshi, who plays Pandey, and Isha Koppikar, who plays Gulab Didi, both want to be Chief Ministers of the state. However, two independent candidates who are crucial to forging a government have vanished.

Varun, Gulab Didi’s son, is detained by the police and charged with kidnapping the two independent candidates. Pandey sees an opening, so he employs the top lawyer in the country, Malpani (Ravi Kishan), to get Varun jailed by proving his guilt in court and so helping Pandey become CM by damaging Gulab Didi’s reputation. To defend her son, Varun, Gulab Didi retains Jerry Khattar (Ameet Kumar), a seasoned international lawyer. Divya (Sneha Ullal) is helping Jerry out.

What ultimately occurs in a court of law? Will Pandey be successful? Varun, son of Gulab Didi, is found guilty or not? So who gets to be the chief?

Isha Koppikar has broken all the rules to provide a spectacular performance in this film. Ravi Kishan’s acting skills captivate the audience, while Ameet Kumar’s performance is both impressive and entertaining.

Ali Asgar, who plays journalist Deepak Dalal, gives an outstanding performance. The performances of Sudhir Pandey (as the judge), Dayashankar Pandey (as Gulab Didi’s husband), SuhasiniMulay (as Jerry Khattar’s mother), and Raj Premi were outstanding.

The dance talents of Krushna Abhishek and Sapna Chaudhary steal the show and amaze the fans in two different song-dance sequences with outstanding foot-tapping item music.

Acclaimed Mi’kmaw filmmaker Jeff Barnaby dead at 46

Mi’kmaw filmmaker Jeff Barnaby, considered a visionary of modern Indigenous cinema, has died.

The director’s representatives say he died after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was 46.

Raised on the Listuguj Reserve in Quebec, Barnaby helmed many short films, including the Jutra Award-nominated The Colony and the Genie-nominated File Under Miscellaneous.

The writer-director, who continued to be based in Montreal during much of his career, gained acclaim for his 2013 debut feature Rhymes for Young Ghouls. The film criticized Canada’s residential school system in a way that hadn’t been widely seen in cinema before. Set in the 1970s, it also reminded audiences that the events it depicted were not ancient history.

Barnaby followed up Ghouls with the 2019 zombie horror film Blood Quantum, which swept the Canadian Screen Awards, winning six out of its 10 nominations — the most of any film at the awards that year. It featured a cast that was nearly all Indigenous and took Barnaby more than 13 years from conception to debut.

“In qualified and political terms, it’s 100 per cent a Native zombie exploitation film,” Barnaby said in a 2020 interview with CBC.

Blood Quantum depicted a zombie outbreak on a fictional Mi’kmaq reserve. Though it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2019, its theatrical release was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it was instead released on streaming services in 2020.

“People keep calling it a pressing film with all of the stuff happening now because of the virus,” Barnaby said of the movie, which loosely paralleled the ongoing pandemic. “Meanwhile Native people have been putting up with it forever.”

Friends share sorrow, praise

Friends and contemporaries shared their sorrow soon after news of his death broke.

“Beautifully stubborn ’til the very end, Jeff Barnaby was bold in his life and his work. He bore a sensitivity, poignancy and depth within him,” friend and actor Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs was quoted as saying in a media release.

Jacobs — who currently stars in the Taika Waititi-created series Reservation Dogs and who will appear in the upcoming Marvel series Echo — starred in Rhymes for Young Ghouls.

In the release, she went on to say she “wouldn’t be an actor today” without the influence of Barnaby, whose films “resonated with audiences Indigenous and non-Native alike.”

On Twitter, Toronto International Film Festival CEO Cameron Bailey described Barnaby as an “artist powered by a blazing fire,” who “understood horror on its deepest levels.”

“Canadian cinema was better for having his talents, passion and vision,” said actor and writer Jay Baruchel in his own post.

And fellow Canadian screenwriter and director Jason Eisener shared that Barnaby “was incredibly talented with a strong inspirational voice.”

Barnaby is survived by his wife, Sarah Del Seronde, and son, Miles.

Bharti Demands Closure Of Ahaatas Across MP By Single Fiat

BJP leader Uma Bharti on Tuesday demanded that the party’s government in Madhya Pradesh ban all `Ahaatas’ or open places near liquor shops where liquor is consumed by a single order.

The former chief minister, who has been agitating for stricter restrictions on liquor distribution in the state, also visited an

Ahaata is situated next to a school in the Karond area here after visiting a Hanuman temple.
In a series of tweets in Hindi afterward, Bharti said, “Yesterday I have said that the liquor mafia will attack me and defame me by spreading lies…”

“While I was talking to the public, someone asked if I am giving an opportunity to the opposition to weaken the government, but my straightforward reply is that Ahaatas are illegal,” Bharti said.

“If by a single order all such facilities in the state get closed then… the opposition won’t get any opportunity,” she said.

But she won’t sit quietly only because raising her voice will give an opportunity to the opposition to attack the state government, she added.

If the government issued an order closing Ahaatas, she will walk to the Mantralaya (state government headquarters) from her residence with a `Diya’ (earthen lamp) in her hand to praise the government, the senior BJP leader added.

To raise awareness against liquor consumption, Bharti had earlier announced that she will not stay in any house from November 7 to January 14.

Kantara, not a myth, but a legend: Why ‘liberals’ are bound to be upset with this movie and director-actor Rishab Shetty

It’s been a great year for the South Indian film industry, as many of them, including KGF2, RRR, Vikram, Bheeshma Parvam, Karthikeya-2, Charlie 777, and Vikrant Rona, took the nation by storm at the box office thanks to their original narrative styles, breath-taking visuals, and larger-than-life characters. The South Indian films provided a breath of fresh air to the nation’s moviegoers with their honest approach towards upholding the dharma and giving the regional cultural touch without mocking one’s belief. This contrasts with the Bollywood movies, which struggle at the Box Office even to recover the money invested, with the exception of The Kashmir Files and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

The Kannada film Kantara, which translates to “Mysterious Forest,” was written, directed, and starred by Rishab Shetty. It was made by Hombale Films (KGF Franchise). The film’s production values, performances, and breathtaking Western Ghats scenery in Karnataka keep you hooked to your seat for 2.5 hours. The film highlights the diverse customs and cultures that exist in coastal Karnataka, like Bhoota Kola (Spirit/Deity Worship) and Kambala (Buffalo Racing on Slushy Paddy Fields). Keradi, Rishab’s hometown, served as the film’s location.

The story begins with a backdrop from the 19th century about a king who promised to give a tribal people a piece of land in exchange for their diety Panjurli (Wild Boar Spirit), which he believed to have brought him peace and happiness. In addition to the diety Panjurli, Shivagana also has a Karnika (influence) known as diety Guliga, which is worshipped in the shape of a sacred stone.

Both deities are worshipped together here. In contrast to Panjurli, who is revered as the God of Prosperity and Guidance, Guliga is a Kshetrapala/Kshetrapalaka (Lit. Protector of the place/field) is ferocious, violent, and unforgiving. The main plot of the film is, driven by the greed of the King’s successors to reclaim the land granted to the tribal people and the Forest Department’s efforts to protect the wildlife and trees in the forest from hunting and deforestation by tribals, respectively.

While the focus of the film is primarily on Achyut Kumar’s portrayal of the King’s descendant and the landlord, Devendra Suttooru and Shiva (Rishab Shetty’s) rebellious nature and sycophancy toward the landlord, it is important to note Shiva’s gang, which includes Bulla, Raampa, Sundara, Naaru, and Lacchu characters, and their comic timing even in serious circumstances. A handful of Shiva and his gang’s scenes would make you jolt out of your seat in fear and make you giggle immediately. Raampa (Prakash Thuminad), a bachelor in his late 40s, deserves special mention because he consistently “scores” when given the chance. Shiva’s love interest Leela (Sapthami Gowda), who plays the newly hired forest officer, gave everything she had to whatever was required by her part. Leela’s difficulties with her obligations to the villagers and her sense of duty could have been thoroughly explored.

Devendra is an extremely well-written character who just might easily trick you with his butter talk, smile, compassion, and kindness. But when the time comes, he might be greedy, heartless and discriminator. In yet another great performance, Kishore—who portrays a hot-headed (and bald) DRF officer Muralidhar who occasionally displays his grey shades —makes the audience want to dislike him all the time but end up falling in love with him. Ajaneesh B Lokanath (music) and Arvind Kashyap (DoP), two more superstars in the movie, together would create the first half’s scenes relaxing to the ears and the eyes, especially with the song Singara Siriye sung by Vijay Prakash.

Rishab Shetty’s unforgettable final Guliga and Panjurli act can make anyone mesmerised with its impeccable choreography by Raj B Shetty and can guarantee goosebumps. Rishab, Raj, Ajaneesh, and Arvind’s collective efforts are what put the audience in a trance for the final 20 minutes.

It is expected that liberals will try to discredit this film because it has the essence of Hinduism and its traditions. Recently, Rishab Shetty and the Kannada anchor engaged in a rapid-fire round during one of the interviews after the film’s phenomenal success in the South, during which he was asked to describe the names she would choose in a word or two. The actor responded “Adhbuta Nayaka” (Great Leader) when asked about Narendra Modi, and “No Comments” when asked about Rahul Gandhi. His room temperature IQ supporters were appropriately outraged by the “No Comments” and attempted to trend “Boycott Kantara” on Twitter even though the movie is already raking in a tonne of money at the box office. He also identified himself as an ardent follower of his Dharma and a proud Hindu.

Kantara is designed to be watched in a theatre to truly appreciate the spirituality and cinematic feel. This film offers some lesser-known Hindu Dharma Paddathis for non-Kannadigas, such as Bhootaradhane, Daivaradhane, Nema, etc. These should not be missed. Since this movie is bringing families to the movies in Karnataka for a long time, it would not be unfair to ask the state’s chief minister, Shri Basavaraj Bommai, to declare it tax-free.

Birmingham, England: Islamist Shakeel Afsar asks Hindus to declare that they do not support BJP and RSS, amid threats of violence

After a call for “peaceful protests” on social media, a 200-strong mob of masked Islamists circled the Durga Bhawan Hindu Centre on Spon Lane in Smethwick, West Midlands, England, on September 20 (local time).

The so-called protest, which was more of an intimidation technique by Islamists, was planned in opposition to Sadhvi Ritambhara’s already-postponed event. Islamist and full-time protestor Shakeel Afsar was seen in a video threatening the Hindu community with violence if Durga Bhawan Hindu Centre does not issue an official statement that they are not associated with BJP/RSS.

Shakeel Afsar, an Islamist, continues to threaten Hindus on social media. One approach used by all Islamists is to openly spew venom against Hindus and then pretend that they have no problem with ordinary Hindus and are only against the Hindutva ideology and its supporters, namely the BJP and the RSS. “Yes good as life they are not supportive of the BJP/RSS extremists we have no issues with the large majority of Hindus But BJP/RSS we will always have an issue !!!”

So, indirectly, Afsar wants the Hindus of Birmingham, England to submit to the demands of Islamists and declare that they will never support a party and an organisation back in India, thousands of miles away. He wants the political opinions and choices of Hindus in Birmingham to be vetted and certified by the local Islamists first.

Shakeel Afsar is a known Islamist who has a history of inciting hatred and violence against non-Muslims. The film Lady Of Heaven, which depicted the story of Lady Fatima, the Prophet Muhammad’s daughter, was released on June 3, this year. However, a well-known movie chain in the United Kingdom cancelled all shows, citing concerns for employee and customer safety after an Islamist mob led by Shakeel Afsar threatened violent consequences. “Birmingham will not tolerate the disrespect of our prophet. There will be outcomes from your actions. You will have repercussions for your actions. We have been trained from birth that we must defend the honor of our prophet we will lay our life on the line, Afsar said.

In 2019, Shakeel Afsar led a massive protest against the government-led LGBT equality teachings and sex education drive in schools. He was accused of inflaming tensions by inviting a radical imam to a protest who claimed anal sex and transgenderism were taught in schools. He also had to face trial in court.

Emma Corrin Makes Major Waves With Goldfish Bag Dress at My Policeman Premiere

That’s one way to make a splash on the red carpet.

During the BFI London Film Festival, all eyes were on Emma Corrin who arrived at the premiere of their new film My Policeman wearing campy creation designed to look like a plastic bag containing a goldfish.

The fishy frock hails from JW Anderson’s spring 2023 collection and features a playful bubble shape, knotted one-shoulder detail and glossy finish. Emma completed the carnival prize vibe with black open-toe mules and Cartier jewels.

On their Instagram, Emma, 26, gave a closer look at the designer dress and dropped an iconic quote from the 1998 movie, You’ve Got Mail.

“WHO BELONGS TO THIS FISH? (10 bucks if you guess the film),” they captioned the Oct. 15 post. “Huge thank you to LFF for having us premiere My Policeman here in London. Loved making this one, so much heart and a good reminder of what we’ve fought for and what we still have to fight for.”

Bundesliga 2022-23: Union Berlin Stun Borussia Dortmund; Bayern Munich Rout Freiburg 5-0

Union Berlin’s fairy tale continues but Bayern Munich is lurking. Janik Haberer scored twice for Union to upset Borussia Dortmund 2-0 and consolidate their early-season Bundesliga 2022-23 lead, while Bayern enjoyed a 5-0 rout of Freiburg on Sunday. (More Football News)

Haberer’s two first-half goals dealt Dortmund its fourth defeat from 10 games so far. The win lifted Union four points clear of Bayern at the top after 10 rounds – and seven points ahead of Dortmund.

Serge Gnabry, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Leroy Sané, Sadio Mané and Marcel Sabitzer all scored for Bayern to end Freiburg’s 11-game unbeaten streak across all competitions and replace the visitors in second place.

“Super Bayern, super Bayern,” the home fans sang as the Bavarian powerhouse emerged as Union’s main challenger even without the injured Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller.

UNION ENJOYING THE MOMENT

Union coach Urs Fischer said supporters were entitled to celebrate and dream of winning the title but the club’s target remains 40 points and Bundesliga survival. “German champion will only be FCU (Union Berlin),” the Union fans sang as their team stayed top for the fifth consecutive weekend with 23 points. Fischer remains more cautious.

“I think if you set a target you should reach it before setting new ones,” said Fischer, who led Union to Bundesliga promotion through a playoff in 2019. “We’re not the ones who should dream, but who should retain focus.”

Union pushed forward from the start and Haberer got an early reward thanks to a mistake from Dortmund ’keeper Gregor Kobel in the eighth minute. Kobel slipped at an inopportune moment to give Haberer an easy finish.

The Union midfielder got his second goal in the 21st with a low shot inside the left post after Jordan Pefok laid the ball back after good interplay involving Sheraldo Becker. Union should have gone on to score more goals as the home team dominated the opening half.

Related stories

Dortmund was restricted to just two chances in the first 45 minutes, with the home team’s constant harrying forcing concessions and mistakes from the visitors. Union’s players challenged at every opportunity, winning most, and every 50-50 ball seemed to go their way.

It was exactly how Fischer wants his team to play. The Union coach received the loudest cheer of “Fußballgott (soccer god)” from appreciative home fans before the game began.

Dortmund counterpart Edin Terzić reacted with three changes at the break, including bringing on captain Marco Reus for his comeback from an ankle injury sustained in the Ruhr derby win over Schalke on September 17.

Perhaps inevitably, Union’s intensity dropped and Dortmund had even more of the ball, though Fischer’s team still created the better chances.

Fischer was forced to change in the 67th when American forward Pefok limped from the field with an unspecified injury. The coach said afterward he didn’t know how serious it was and was still waiting for an update from medical staff.

Union’s fans rose to their feet to urge their team on for the final minutes, then celebrated by singing about winning the title.

BAYERN MOVE SECOND

Bayern has never been beaten at home in the Bundesliga by Freiburg. Sunday’s win was its 20th from 23 meetings between the teams in Munich.

Bayern stayed four points behind Union, which was one of the teams to frustrate the 10-time defending champion during its four-game run without a win earlier this season. Earlier, Cologne came from behind to beat Augsburg 3-2 with a late goal from Steffen Tigges.
